American flautist Jessica Quiñones and British Pianist Catherine Shackell met over coffee and the obligatory cake for a friendly chat in York, England. Inspired by each other’s commitment to music education and community outreach it wasn’t long before they started to play together too.
They soon discovered that Jessica’s passion for tango music, particularly that of Astor Piazzolla, and Catherine’s enthusiasm for contemporary classical music, especially that influenced by music from other cultures, combined perfectly leading them to discover some really exciting repertoire.
